Frequently Asked Questions

Is my audio private? Where does it go?

Audio is processed by AI providers to produce transcripts and summaries.

What does it cost?

You pay your AI providers directly for what you use. A hosted plan with cloud sync is on the roadmap for folks who'd rather not manage keys.

Which meeting platforms does it work with?

Any. Quendian captures system audio + your mic, so Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, in-person meetings, and audio from anywhere on your Mac all work the same way.

Does it work on Windows or Linux?

No, macOS only. Running natively means Quendian uses system-level audio capture and runs in a sandboxed app on your Mac — no browser tab, no extension, fewer surfaces for your data to leak through.

How do I sync notes across devices?

Today: point Quendian's export folder at iCloud Drive (or Dropbox, etc.) and your notes follow you. First-party cloud sync is planned with the hosted plan.

Which AI providers does it support?

Summaries: Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenAI-compatible endpoints (Groq, Together, OpenRouter, LM Studio), and local Ollama — configure the endpoint and key in Preferences. Transcription: OpenAI Whisper today.

Can I edit notes after the meeting?

Yes. Notes are markdown, owned by you, exported to the folder of your choice.
